Hotel Opera Lafayette - Paris

The staff were friendly and trustworthy. The hotel was very conveniently placed for walking and all types of transport to the centre of Paris and Gare du Nord from where we board Eurostar. The breakfast was adequate as was the breakfast room.

Upgraded bathroom and dining room were welcome and added to the advantage of the reasonably central and convenient location . The room service was good and cleanliness was well observed. The buffet was excellent but the bar in the front reception was closed and the front area dark in the evening.

The small rooms are too small for doubles at todays standards; some more upmarket modifications are worth considering to create lounge areas off these rooms . Whilst some rooms will be sacrificed,the hotel would have more guests more of the time.

the reception staff are very friendly and very helpful, also the location is really good and near to all.

i didnt really like the way they clean the room, as it was not cleaned properly during my stay, and for example if cotton tige finished or soap there is no refill or replacment, so the cleaning room service is poor. also there should be a water heater at least in the room if we want to have a late coffee or a cup of tea, there were not even plates or knife that can be used to cut a fruit, also teh morning breakfast should take into considertaion that most tourists dont eat pork so there should be more variety from ham poulet, pork etc also the boiled egg should be warm and not that cold in the morning.

Was a bit noisy at night with street traffic.

The hotel does not have air conditioning, and in the summer that is a must.

very noisy, lots of traffic on the street, and worse: you can hear and feel the underground metro every 2-3 minutes from 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM the next day !

Good location and wonderful breakfast included. Had wonderful view of Sacre Couer from our room.

Too warm at nights. Needs air conditioning.

The nearby eatery La Rosarina served up some stellar gourmet sandwiches that hit the spot. Plus, the location was spot-on for a post-breakfast stroll to Sacre Coeur, with cozy cafés around every corner. That's Paris living!

But the room felt old and musty, a far cry from the fresh, bright pics online. Wi-Fi was a bit like a vanishing act, and while the staff were nice, they weren't exactly rolling out the red carpet. Oh, and that hairdryer-definitely had a mind of its own!

The hotel was close to the international train station, and close to a Metro station which serviced a main line.

The room was smaller than my college dorm room, but since I came to see Paris and not the room I can't complain too much about it.

Was just alright.

The room had a bit of a smell about it, we think from previous guest smoking in the room. Not pleasant for non smokers

The staff helped us with everything. Got great breakfasts with juices, the usual cereal and boiled eggs.

Convenient location. Re-visted for sentimental reasons.

Refurbishing next to our room. Coffee and bread at breakfast below standard on the 2nd day.

Great location, comfy room overlooking a charming street. We enjoyed the easy walk to Sacre Coeur and cozy local cafes.

Good location with spacious room, but very noisy and staff charged upfront.
